Here is a little animation on the principle of balance. I want to focus on the balance of nature. Throughout the video, it starts out with view of the world to what we see around us including the tiny things we can't see with the naked eye.

This are the parts that started from the not an we created first. The other three parts are taken from the not an as an inspiration. The last part is about we use the laser cut design, which I printed onto a white t-shirt with a marker. One way it looks like some kind of design found on african clothing, but also could be used as a sci-fi design.

Black and White Animation Design

Here is my animation design. The idea of the object came from a thought of ice cream, but it is not suppose to look symmetrical. Looking at this in the opposite direction where the object turns into the ground makes it appear to be many things. I just gradually changed the size of the shapes and moved them straight out to the edge than in random places.

Design Project 1

Here is my designs replicated from the photo on the far left. I intentionally switched back and forth with the way the black and white colors is shown and adding details to three of the designs. The types of media I used were watercolor paint, ink pens (Micron), black construction paper and tissue.

Response to Notan Article

In the article about the creation of Notan, it talks about what we use to create something else, and then, we imagine what it doesn't appear to be.

Example:
 - We put a wooden square and four wooden pegs together to make a table, but it is on space where there's nothing for the use of a table that depends.

Along the way to back from the PATCO train station, I caught a glimpse of some interesting little designs. They look to me almost like Victorian style. Some of the pictures I took looked pretty simple as others were a bit more complicated, but they all fascinated me. Also, there was one that kind of looked like a pattern on any piece or garment or accessories.

"The arts are called 'creative' fields because there are no predetermined correct answers to the  problems" (pg. 4 Design Defined)

Design is basically a way to say "plan". It is not that something just happened. Whatever it is, it's just planned. Every worker plans, but it the artist or designer that creates it. There is most likely a plan to solve any kind of problem. This is known as a design process. In a creative way, you would likely need a visual solution, although there are many ways whether it's wide or narrow. There is no need of rules on how to do it, but there are guidelines.
